Care beyond the home

Learn a trade.
Make a difference.

We aim to bring young people and wounded veterans together with skilled mentors to learn practical home-repair skills. As experience grows, suitable supervised service projects can support older adults, people with disabilities, and homeowners facing financial hardship.

Here, rehabilitation means opportunities for purposeful activity, connection, and practical learning. We aim to support participation and belonging; these activities are not clinical physical or mental health treatment or an accredited trade qualification.

From learning to serving

Stronger skills.
Safer homes.

Our goal is to connect practical learning with the needs at the heart of Ess Global Cares: essential home repairs, accessibility, and safe daily living.

Learners would begin with workshop practice and progress only to appropriate, supervised service tasks. Plumbing and electrical work in homes would be handled by qualified professionals; participation does not authorize independent trade work.

Wounded veterans · Planned initiative

A place to contribute.
A reason to connect.

We aim to involve wounded veterans in meaningful on-site activities that engage both body and mind while contributing to safer homes and stronger communities.

  • Physical participation: suitable light assembly, material preparation, and hand-tool tasks at accessible workstations.
  • Mental engagement: reading simple plans, measuring, estimating materials, project planning, and solving problems together.
  • Community connection: shared projects, peer encouragement, and opportunities to contribute experience and ideas.

Participation would be voluntary, with tasks, pace, breaks, and accessibility needs agreed individually. Workshop practice would come first; any active project-site participation would require a suitable task and site-safety review. No participant would be expected to lift heavily, climb, or perform unsafe work.

We do not promise medical recovery or therapeutic outcomes. Specialist rehabilitation needs should be supported by qualified providers.
